One of the easiest things to feed into is negative energy, we’ve all done it before. Some of us feed into it daily, this isn’t the healthiest thing to do but it happens. The world is filled with negative energy and it's everywhere, it’s hard to avoid at times because of the people that carry it with them.
Some of these people don’t carry it intentionally, it could be due to a lack of positivity in their life. Also, the environment that they grew up in may have not spread positive energy on a daily basis.
In a sense, everyone grows up with a little bit of negative energy because it’s part of the world, and like I said before it’s everywhere. It’s not that we were born with it but as we experienced more of what life has to offer, we realized that not every day is going to be filled with sunshine and rainbows.
As a matter of fact, we’ve all experienced days, weeks, and months in a row where everything seemed dark. This is known as depression, it’s something people go through in order to find their true selves at the end of the tunnel.
Oftentimes, in order for us to truly look at the world in a more positive light, we have to go through difficult situations like that. The only problem is that many people tend to stay in that depressive state for most of their lives.
They let this negative energy hold them back from trying new things and exploring more about their interest. This leads to an unproductive lifestyle and many days filled with regret.
We all live with some sort of regret from the past but we have the option to change. We don’t have to keep living with regret, having more positive energy in our lives will allow us to see that. No matter how bad things get in your life, it’s important to remind yourself to avoid negative energy at all costs.
Changing Your Perspective
If we keep the same negative perspective forever, we will not grow as a person. Changing our perspective will lead us to new opportunities and will give us a chance to take on life’s obstacles gracefully.
In order to change our perspective, there's a level of work that needs to go into it. Part of this work is telling ourselves that the world has a lot to offer. If we stay close-minded for all of our lives then nothing will get done and the world remains small forever.
The smaller our perception of the world is the less excited we get about our future and present. Let’s look back in our life from where we are now, we’ve changed so much and grown so much over the years because we had the willingness to learn and experience new things.
Start thinking about your life like this in the present moment. Everything around you instantly gets brighter and you feel freer. Living a negative lifestyle can make us feel restricted and unmotivated to do anything new.
Living a positive lifestyle allows us to be more productive because of the numerous opportunities that are presented to us. We should be working on our new positive perspective daily, telling ourselves positive affirmations throughout the day can really help us to look at the world differently.
When you look at the world differently, the sun gets a little brighter and the breeze gets a little cooler. It’s an unexplainable feeling when you’ve been doing it for so long but it can be hard at first.
Being accepting of the change in perspective can really lead us to be more intuned with positive energy and shows us a path to our own success. When there’s a positive light, there’s usually a positive opportunity to go with it. You choose how you want to view the world and you live and die by that choice. This perspective is something that you should be taking very seriously in your life.
Being Realistic and Aware
Even when becoming a more positive person, you will still notice negative energy around you. Think of this energy as a breeze that is going through the air. It’s always around and it will get really close to you at times, sometimes it’s so powerful that it will push you back a little.
This is you being put to the test, life is seeing how you will respond to those harsh winds. Will you keep smiling and remind yourself that it will eventually go away or will you give in to it and let the breeze knock you down to the ground.
Being realistic about the world we live in can help you on your journey to attracting more positive energy. There are negative people in this world and almost daily you will encounter some of these people but there’s no need to be worried because you get to control the situation.
Let’s say you’re at work and a customer is using foul language towards you and they’re doing the best that they can to put you in a bad mood. This is normal, this happens to almost every employee that works in an industry where communication with customers is required.
In this situation, your option would be to yell back at the customer or to simply guide them to someone who is in a higher position than you to help. You telling your manager to handle the situation or walking away from that customer and then finding someone to help is avoiding that negative energy.
When you’re still in the process of changing your perspective about the world, you may not want to confront that negative energy right away. Sometimes you’ll be minding your own business and negative thoughts will come into your head, block them out with positive affirmations and remind yourself of what it's like to be in a happy state of mind.
Dealing With It
Dealing with the negative energy that does come into your life can be stressful and overwhelming. When you are having a hard time blocking out that negativity in your mind, you need to resort to patience.
Not only with those thoughts but with yourself as well. Sometimes those thoughts are going to come and you’re going to feel like there’s nothing you can do to get them out of your head, this is usually because we’re so anxious in that situation that we don’t resort back to our positive practices.
Use some of your past experiences to help you when you’re feeling negative energy going through you. How have you dealt with it in the past and has it helped? Eventually, those thoughts will go away but it takes time.
Those negative thoughts are trying to eat you alive so it may take a while for them to fully exit your inner space. Trust in yourself that you know you have enough positive energy within you to defeat those cruel thoughts.
Talk to someone about how you’re feeling if you feel like you can't talk to yourself. Call up one of your friends or talk to one of your family members for a little while. This usually calms the nerves and helps you get an outside perspective of your situation.
The energy that you put out is the energy that you will receive! Use positivity to your advantage and change your perspective of the world around you. I’ll leave you with a quote from Domenico Dolce that says
“The worst times can be the best if you think with positive energy.”
