No One Is Ready For the Real World
A 22-year old wrote this by the way…
As zillenials and even younger, the real world to us is scary and exciting, there are so many rules that come into play. The reason why we find it scary is that we'll be on our own for the first time in our lives and if we mess up, the consequences are a lot more severe than if we were to mess up now.
There’s no easy way to say this but, many younger people think that they will take over the world and that everything is going to work out in our favor. Aren’t we supposed to be thinking this way? Shouldn't we be optimistic about our future?
Or should we just fall into the same stigma as everyone else and look forward to a life of struggle and unhappiness?
The real world can’t be that bad right? Now, the real world can be exciting for us because it’s our time to exercise our freedom. We love our parents and appreciate everything they do for us but it would feel good to take some risks once in a while without an objection.
Again, we know that they’re looking out for us and the older we get the more we understand how right they are but we would like to make our own mistakes from time to time. (That sentence probably just summed up our whole generation but I digress.)
